- Generally I come to the Dawlish area about once or twice a month.
You can nordic walk almost anywhere.
On holiday you can use the nordic walking technique on the pavements in the resorts, on the beaches, up and down steep cobbled steps and earth paths, in botanical gardens and parks, and along mountain tracks and through woodland. Don't leave your poles behind.
Also, don't leave your binoculars and camera behind. It is no problem to use binoculars - have a look at the activities/scenic page on this site, where there is a picture of a nordic walker looking through binoculars. As for cameras, it takes no time at all to unstrap from the poles, (only a second when you are used to them,) and you are then free to use your camera as normal. The camera can be carried on your waist belt or round your neck.
